So, we are back at school in case you haven't noticed and I've built this brilliant uh...invention. I'm not sure if it will work yet, but it's pretty ace regardless. No one else knows what it is and I'd rather keep it that way, if you don't mind, but I just had to brag about my brilliance because I have discovered the bug in the system and now it is in perfect working order.

But, you can't know what it is! Sorry!

Why is everyone trying to destroy the Sorting Hat? I have been in my dorm day and night (except for classes) working on my masterpiece, and I have heard nothing of it until today. Isn't it good that the Slytherins aren't in the same dorm as the Gryffindors? Don't you blokes hate each other? Maybe I should just keep working on my...thing...and not bother following everything else that goes on?
